IMPORTING FROM A WORD DOCUMENT

Importing a Word document into iMindMap works well if you would like to assess each section in further detail.

When creating a document to import into iMindMap you will need to remember the following:

  • The title will become a Central Idea.
  • Headings will appear as the Parent branches.
  • Sub-headings will appear as Child branches.
  • Paragraph text will appear as attached notes.

To import into iMindMap, follow these steps:

  • Go to 'File'.
  • Select 'Open'.
  • Select 'Computer'.
  • Choose your Word document, and click 'Open'.

 

This opens the document in the form of a Mind Map. You will see that your paragraphs have been attached as notes.
