Saving your Mind Map

SAVING YOUR MIND MAP LOCALLY

 In order to save your Mind Map or Brainstorming area locally to your computer:

  1. Go to File
  2. Select Save As > Computer
  3. Choose a location on your computer to save it to

Your file will be saved as a .IMX file which can be opened within iMindMap at any time by double clicking on it or going to File > Open from within iMindMap 8.

 

Tip: You can also quickly save your Mind Map by selecting the disk icon at the top left hand corner of the iMindMap window

 

 


SAVING YOUR MIND MAP TO THE iMINDMAP CLOUD (iMindMap Cloud & Mobile subscription required for unlimited access)

To save your Mind Map to the iMindMap Cloud:

  1. Go to File
  2. Select Save As > Cloud
  3. If you are not already signed in to your iMindMap account, you will be prompted to do so.
  4. You can then enter a name for your map as it will appear on the Cloud.
  5. Select Save to iMindMap Cloud

The map will then be synchronise to the iMindMap Cloud so you can access it from other iMindMap supported devices.

 

 

Please note: You must have an active iMindMap Cloud & Mobile subscription on your iMindMap account in order to access this feature without any restrictions.

If you do not have iMindMap Cloud & Mobile, you will be limited to only syncing your first 5 Mind Maps, once every 24 hours to the iMindMap Cloud from the desktop edition of iMindMap.

iMindMap Cloud & Mobile subscription was formally referred to as iMindMap Freedom. (Only the name has changed)
