Inserting Notes and links


Inserting notes:

 

If you need to add more comprehensive information that won’t fit on a sticky note, you can add a short cut to a note; the full notes will then be available to view in the side panel:

 

  1. Select a group or sticky note
  2. Click on the attachment tab within the side panel.
  3. Click on the notes tab
  4. Type your note - you will notice a pencil icon will appear on your group or sticky note
  5. To view the note, simply click on this icon to open the properties panel

 

 

Inserting Links:

 

If you want to add supporting website links you can add them to your group or sticky notes:

 

  1. Select a group or sticky note then click on “Attachments in the properties panel
  2. Click on the links tab
  3. Type or paste your web link into the box before clicking on the '+' icon
  4. Once you have inserted the link a globe icon will appear on the group or sticky note
  5. To view this link, simply click on this icon to open the properties panel.

 

 

 

If you convert your Brainstorm into a Mind Map you view your note and web links by clicking on the corresponding icons on the branches.

 

 

You can also add the following attachments:

 

  • iMindMap Cloud files: Select '+' and click on the Cloud file that you would like to link to
  • Email: Enter the email address you would like to link to
  • File from computer: Click '+' and select your preferred folder
  • Folder: You can attach am entire folder by clicking on folder and pressing +
  • Audio: Click on the red dot icon to record the audio. Click stop to end the recording. This is covered in more detail in the 'Inserting Audio Notes' help guide

 

To access the links that you have inserted in Brainstorm View, click on the icons on your group or sticky note and select the required link from the attachment tab in the side panel.
